Home Visit and Legal Aid Survey at Shirthady, Makki and Mantrady Villages for identifying legal issues of the public held on 2nd and 3rd June, 2026.

2nd and 3rd June, 2026 @ Shirthady, Makki and Mantrady Villages: The Legal Aid Cell of the Institute in association with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Dakshina Kannada, Mangaluru has adopted Shirthady, Makki and Mantrady villages to provide legal aid services and decided to conduct a legal aid survey on 2nd and 3rd June, 2026 to identify the legal issues which requires legal assistance. The institute after taking due permission from the Deputy Director, Women and Child Welfare Department, Mangaluru has sought the help of anganwadi teachers and ASHA workers to faciliate the students survey teams in the adopted villages. The students conducted home visit and interacted with the residents and collected data relating to their issues and concern. The survey was guided by Sri. R Prashanth D'Souza, Secretary, Bhuvana Jyothi Education Trust, Shirthady. The event was coordinated by Prof. Ashoka Acharya, Coordinator, Legal Aid Cell of the Institute. On 2nd June, 2026, faculties of the department namely, Mr. Ashoka Acharya, Ms. Priya Jenita D'Souza and Ms. Shreedevi Narayana has guided the students on the field. On the second day, i.e. on 3rd, June, 2026  the students were guided by Mr. Kiran N, Mr. Ashoka Acharya respectively. The principal of the institute has also visited student teams in the field and supplied necessary forms and pomplets wherever deemed necessary on the first day and second day has also went to the field along with students and visited homes to witness the work of para student volunteers of our institute.
