27th March, 2026 @ Lions Seva Mandir, Mangalore: The Local Complaints Committee (POSH Act, 2013) Women and Child Development Department, D.K., Manashanthi Counselling, Research and Training Centre, Lions Club Mangalore, Rotary Club Mangalore South jointly has organised a "Seminar on Implications of Sexual Harassment at Workplace on Women's Mental Health" on 27th March, 2026 to the institutional members of the POSH Committee. Prof. Sanghamitra Roy Pai, Assistant Professor of the institute has participated in the seminar. The learned updates of the seminar will be implemented in the institutional POSH Committee operations.

Awareness Program on 'Cyber Crime, NDPS and Traffic Rules' on 27th March, 2026
27th March, 2026 @ BJILS: The Legal Aid Cell of the institute, in collaboration with the Moodbidri Police Station, has organised an awareness program on 'Cyber Crime, The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and Traffic Rules' on 27th March, 2026, from 12.15 to 01.00 p.m. Police Sub Inspector of Moodbidri, Prathibha K C., has given information about the intensity of cyber crimes happening these days. She has given the ways of safeguarding WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram accounts. She has also highlighted issues such as fishing, money doubling crimes, fake loans, OTP scams, fake emails, hacking smartphones, etc. Information on the National Helpline to report online fraud through the toll-free number 1930. Mr. Rajesh, Head Constable of the station, has given information about the NDPS Act, 1985 and educated students about reporting the drug-related issues immediately to the police. He also urged for the strict adherence to the traffic rules during the driving of vehicles, taking care of the pedestrians, walking on, the right side of the road and maintaining the requisite documents while driving. He also sought the cooperation of the law students in the mitigation of the crime. Mr. Umesh, Constable was also preside over the program. The program was presided over by Dr. Pradeep M D, Principal of the institute. About 10 faculty members and 80 students of B.B.A., LL.B., and LL.B courses were present during the occasion.
Participation in the Intercollegiate Chess Competition- 2026 held at Bengaluru Law College on 26th March, 2026
26th March, 2026 @ Bengaluru Law College: Intercollegiate Chess Competition-2026 was organised by the Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi at Bengaluru Law College on 26th March, 2026. The boys' Chess team of the institute has participated in the event. Out of the total 6 matches played out students Won 2 matches, Draw 2 matches and Lost 2 matches. Mr. Lakshith has won all the 6 matches which he has played. The institute congratulates all the participants. The students were accompanied by Prof. Dhanraj, Assistant Professor of the institute.

26th March, 2026 @ Gandhi Bhavan, Bengaluru: The Karnataka Institute for Law and Parliamentary Reform in association with Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi has organised a conference on 'Drafting of Legislation and Plain Language Drafting' at Gandhi Bhavan, Bengaluru, for the faculties of all the affiliated colleges. Prof. Sanghamitra Roy Pai, Assistant Professor of the Institute has attended the conference on 26th March, 2026.
Expert Talk on "Indian Succession Act" by Advocate Ashwini D'Souza, Moodbidri on 26th March, 2026
26th March, 2026 @ BJILS: The IQAC Cell of the institute has organised an expert talk on 'Indian Succession Act' by Mrs. Ashwini D'Souza, Advocate, Moodbidri Bar Association on 26th March, 2026 at 11.30 a.m. for the students of LL.B and B.B.A.,LL.B courses. The resource person has oriented the topic through the help of live case studies. The program was presided over by Prof. Kiran N, NSS Officer of the institute and Mrs. Sherley T Babu, Senior Professor of the institute has presented a token of gratitude to the resource person. About 25 students participated in the event and cleared their doubts. The session was interactive and focused more on to the practical difficulties and challenges in handling succession related litigations in the trial court.
Secured Second Prize in the Poster Making on the Theme 'Women Health' in connection with International Women's Day 2026 held at Prasad Netralaya on 26.03.2026
26th March, 2026 @ Prasad Netralaya, Moodbidri: The Students of 5 Year B.B.A.,LL.B and 3 Year LL.B courses have participated in the Poster Making Competition on the theme "Women Health" held in celebration of International Women's Day 2026. Five students namely, Mr. Nishan (BBA LL.B), Mr. Stephan (BBA LL.B), Ms. Vismitha (BBA LL.B), Mr. Udaya Kiran (LL.B) and Ms. Aishwarya N (BBA LL.B) participated in the event and secured second place with certificates.
