11th September2025 @BJILS: The institute has inaugurated the Students Council for the academic year 2025-26 on 11th September, 2025. For the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Rajesh T.V., Superintendent of Central Taxes, Bangalore was invited to be the chief guest and Shri.Vasanth Adyanthaya, Senior Advocate, Mangalore was the Guest of Honour. The programme was presided over by Shri. Prashanth N., Correspondent of the Institute. Dr. Pradeep M.D., Principal of the Institute has delivered the welcome address. The Office bearers of the Students Council for the academic year 2025-26 sworn an oath to serve with humanity and loyalty delivered by Prof. Ashok Acharya, the Student Welfare Officer. Student President Ms. Jenitha Divya Nazarath from 2nd LL.B, Student Vice President, Mr. Rohan Lobo, from 1st year LL.B, Student Secretary Mr. Nishan Prashanth Kodthero from 1st B.B.A.,LL.B, Student Joint Secretary Ms. Barnalidevi from 1st B.B.A.,LL.B, Student Treasurer, Mr. Sujith from 2nd LL.B, Student Vice Treasurer Ms. Ananya from 1st year LL.B, and Student Additional Treasurer Ms. Aishwarya M.R. from 2nd year B.B.A.,LL.B were present during the occassion. The Student Council Office bearers presented their agenda to the gathering.
In the inaugural address, the Chief Guest of the program, Dr. Rajesh T.V. appreciated the students for accepting leadership responsibilities by quoting it to be the first step to develop their leadership qualities. The quest has announced the instatement of 'National Security Incubation Centre' in the college campus. He also interacted with the student on to the agendas of National Security Incubation Centre. The Guest of Honour, Shri. Vasanth Adyanthaya, urged student to take active part in the academics along with priority to practical training in the field of law. He also conducted a technical session on the topic "Career Opportunities for Law Graduates" with an interactive session with students to clarify diverse queries on legal profession. Dr. Sherley T. Babu, Senior Professor, Shri. R. Prashanth Dsouza, Secretary, Bhuvana Jyothi Education Trust, Shirthady, Shri. Raghavendra Prabhu, President, Bhuvana Jyothi Education Trust, Smt. Latha A., Treasurer of the Institute, and Shri. Sharanappa M Bhavi, Advisor of the Institute, Prof. Dhanaraj, Prof. Kiran, Prof. Shilpa, and Prof. Priya Dsouza were present during the Programme. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Yakshitha, student of 2nd LL.B, and the Master of Ceremony was performed by Mr. Neeraj, student of 2nd B.B.A., LL.B.
