Freshers Day Celebration @ BJILS on 16th November, 2024

16th November, 2024 @ BJILS: The institute celebrated its Freshers’ Day, a vibrant event that marked the welcoming of new students into the academic community. The day’s activities were kicked off with the inauguration of the student council in the morning session, followed by the main Freshers’ Day celebrations in the afternoon, which commenced at 1:40 PM. The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Principal Dr. Pradeep MD, Treasurer Mrs. Latha A, Student Welfare Officer Dr. Kaushik C, IQAC Coordinator Mrs. Sangamitra Roy Pai, Assistant Professor Sudhin MS, Ms. Sowmya, along with the teachers and students of Bhuvana Jyothi Residential School.

 Highlights of the Event:

1.  Welcome Dance: The program began with a lively welcome dance performance by Suraksha and her team, setting an energetic tone for the day.
2. Solo Dance by Bhoomika: Bhoomika captivated the audience with a graceful solo dance.
3. Games Session: Fun and interactive games followed, engaging both the freshers and the senior students.
4. Skit on Kittur Rani Chennamma: A thought-provoking skit was performed by Hamzath and his team, showcasing the legendary story of Kittur Rani Chennamma.
5. Punjabi Song by Falak: Falak’s soulful performance of a Punjabi song added a cultural touch to the celebration.
6. Solo Dance by Nikil: Nikil impressed the crowd with his energetic solo dance performance.
7. Solo Song by Ranjith: Ranjith’s melodious solo song added a musical charm to the event.
8. Group Dance by Sowmya and Team: A lively group dance performance by Sowmya and her team kept the energy high.
9. Group Song by Ranjith and Mandar: The duo presented a harmonious group song, bringing a soothing vibe to the event.
10. Song by Mandar and Team: Mandar and his team took to the stage for a group song performance, adding to the musical lineup.
11. Dance by Mallikarjun and Team: Mallikarjun and his team delivered an engaging dance number, delighting the audience.
12. Solo Dance by Athiksha: Athiksha’s graceful solo dance performance showcased her talent and added to the entertainment.
13. Solo Song by Ananya: Ananya’s heartfelt solo song touched the audience.
14. Mr. and Ms. Black Coat Competition: A total of 12 participants (6 girls and 6 boys) took part in the Mr. and Ms. Black Coat competition. After a brief and exciting competition, Hamzath was crowned Mr. Black Coat, and Jayashree was awarded Ms. Black Coat.
15. Skit on International Peace and Tolerance Day: Steve and his team presented an impactful skit on the themes of international peace and tolerance, observed on this day by the NSS committee.
16. Group Songs by Jayashree & Swathi and Ananya & Ranjith: The audience was treated to beautiful group song performances by Jayashree and Swathi, followed by another soulful rendition by Ananya and Ranjith.
17. Group Dance by Shreya and Team: The event concluded with an energetic group dance performance by Shreya and her team, leaving the audience in high spirits.

The Freshers' Day celebration was expertly MCed by Vikhil V. Salian, whose engaging presence and smooth transitions between performances added to the overall success of the event. The event concluded at 4:50 PM with the announcement of the Mr. and Ms. Black Coat winners and the closing remarks. The day was a grand success, fostering a sense of camaraderie and excitement among the students.
