Poster Making on Human Rights by the Students @ BJILS on

10th December, 2025 @ BJILS: The institute has organized a Poster Making Competition on 'HUMAN RIGHTS' aiming to create awareness about human rights among students. Students have participated by collecting colour hand impressions from random students on poster. The activity sensitized students regarding freedom, peace, equality, dignity etc. The activity concluded with a call to all students to uphold human rights values in everyday life, reinforcing the institution's commitment to nurturing socially responsible citizens.




Awareness Campain on 'Youth at Risk: Be Safe, Save Life' by Aquaman, Sri. Eshwar Malpe @ BJILS on 19th December, 2025

19th December, 2025 @ BJILS: The institute has organised 'Awareness Campaign on 'Youth at Risk: Be Safe, Save Life' in association with the Youth Red Cross Wing of the institute and in collaboration with SPATIKA FORUM 2025–26 of the Department of Social Work, Alva’s College, Moodbidri. The programme aimed to create awareness among youth about safety, social responsibility, and life-saving practices.

The programme started with the welcome address by Ms. Sakshi, a student of II BBA LL.B., BJILS, highlighting the importance of youth awareness and social commitment. The session was by Mr. Eshwar Malpe, a renowned social activist popularly known as “Aquaman”. He shared his real-life experiences emphasizing the importance of safety, risks involved in water and saving lives. The programme was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Pradeep M. D., Principal of BJILS, Mr. Prashanth N., Correspondent of BJILS, and Mr. Dhanraj, Assistant Professor in Commerce and Faculty Convenor of the Youth Red Cross Wing, BJILS. From Alva’s College, Dr. Madhumala K. and Mr. Sudheendra J. Shanthi, Faculty Convenors of the Department of Social Work, were present and supported the programme.

Students from Bhuvana Jyothi Institute of Legal Studies and Bhuvana Jyothi Residential School participated enthusiastically and actively interacted during the session, making the programme lively and meaningful. The presence of BJILS faculty members Mr. Ashoka Acharya, Mr. Kiran N., Ms. Priya, Mrs. Shilpa, and Ms. Divya added to the success of the event. Dr. Pradeep M. D. gave the presidential address. Towards the conclusion of the programme, Mr. Prashanth N. and Mr. Dhanraj shared their valuable opinions and appreciated the efforts of the organizers, resource person, and students for conducting such a socially relevant awareness campaign. The Institution felicitated Mr.Eshwar Malpe for recognising him for his great social service. The event stood as a meaningful collaboration between BJILS and Alva’s College, reinforcing the role of youth in building a safer society.

Child Rights Awareness Program the School Students at Government High School, Padukonaje, Shirthady on 4th December. 2025

4th December, 2025 @ Govt. High School Padukonaje: The Bhuvana Jyothi Institute of Legal Studies in association with Legal Aid Cell, has organised an awareness program on "Child Rights" to the students of the Government High School situated at Padukonaje, Shirthady. The program was presided over by Dr. Pradeep M D., Principal of BJILS and Mrs. Annapoorneshwari K.R. Head Mistress of the School along with Mrs. Jayashri, Physical Education Teacher and Mrs. Annapoorneshwari, Kannada faculty were present during the occassion. Law students of BJILS namely Ms. Suha Sheikh, Ms. Athiksha, Ms. Suraksha, Mr. Nikhil Ullas Naik and Mr. Steve J Kollannur have given information on child rights. Dr. Pradeep M.D. has created awareness about child help line, police help line and ways of reporting child abuse. The program was ended with vote of thanks from Mrs. Annapoorneshwari, Head Mistress of the School. About 30 school children have particiapted in the event. 

















Annual Athletic Meet 2025-25 at BJILS on 14th December, 2025

The Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26 of Bhuvana Jyothi Institute of Legal Studies (BJILS), Shirthady–Moodbidri was conducted with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit on Sunday, 14th December 2025. The event aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and holistic development among the students.

The athletic meet was inaugurated by Mr. Prakash Rao, Physical Education Director of the college, along with Mr. Prashanth N., Correspondent of BJILS, Mr. Sharanappa M. Bhavi, Advisor of BJILS, and Mr. Raghavendra Prabhu, President of Bhuvana Jyothi Education Trust. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by the Principal, Dr. Pradeep M. D.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a march past by the students, followed by the hoisting of the college flag. The program began with an invocation rendered by Athiksha (2nd Year LL.B.), Suraksha (2nd Year LL.B.), and Anusha (1st Year LL.B.), setting a solemn and energetic tone for the event. Ms. Jenitha Divya Nazareth efficiently served as the Master of Ceremony.

The formal proceedings included a welcome speech, followed by the inauguration of the meet by lighting of the lamp, receiving of the sports torch, and the oath-taking ceremony, which was administered by the Sports Co-ordinator, Asst. Prof. Mr. Dhanraj. This was followed by an inspiring address by Mr. Prakash Rao, emphasizing the importance of sports in shaping character and discipline. Mr. Prashanth N. addressed the gathering, encouraging students to actively engage in sports and maintain a balanced academic life. The Presidential Address by Dr. Pradeep M. D. highlighted the role of sports in nurturing leadership qualities and overall personality development. The inaugural ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks.

Following the inaugural session, students enthusiastically participated in various athletic events, displaying remarkable energy, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship throughout the day. The active involvement of students made the event lively and successful.

In the evening, the athletic meet concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony, which began with the assembly of athletes. This was followed by the Principal’s message, appreciating the efforts of the participants and organizers. The ceremony continued with the lowering of the college flag and concluded solemnly with the National Anthem.

The Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26 was a grand success and stood as a reflection of BJILS’s commitment to fostering physical excellence, unity, and holistic development among its students.
